Sail Virginia 2007 in Norfolk

The world's tallships are coming to Sail Virginia 2007 in Norfolk! 25 of the beautiful sailing tallships will parade into the downtown waterfront on June 8, 2007. This huge event will coincide with the Norfolk Harborfest and is part of the Jamestown 2007 celebration.

Sail Virginia 2007 is going to be more than tallships. There will be parades, ceremonies, historic re-enactments, and a Native American pow-wow. You'll also enjoy live entertainment on 6 stages, unlimited food choices, and spectacular fireworks. A re-created colonial village will have actors representing famous historic characters.

The twenty-five Sail Virginia 2007 tallships include the Godspeed, Schooner Virginia, Pride of Baltimore, Rara Avis (from France), Tarangini (India), Cisne Branco (Brazil), Capitan Miranda (Uruguay) and many others. The parade of sail into Norfolk at noon on June 8 will be a unique and amazing chance to see all these ships under way.

Sail Virginia 2007 is going to be the "can't miss" event of the summer. The events span from June 7th to the 12th. Norfolk Virginia hasn't seen anything like this in a long time.
